Rainwater Harvesting Case Study
The Client:
A collaboration between Balfour Beaty Living Spaces and Rochdale Borough Council
The Challenge:
Rochdale Borough Council was spending vast sums of money on washing road salt from its gritting vehicles and wanted to explore how cost-saving measured could be implemented.
The Solution:
REM Pumping designed a rainwater harvesting system which captured rainwater from the roof of the salt barn and stored it 3 x 25mᶟ tanks giving a total capacity of 75 cubic metres.
Our bespoke pumps and control panel enabled staff to use high pressure hoses to carry out the task and the council is now enjoying the cost free water brings!
