Meet the key members of our team:
Lynn Bennett:
Office & Accounts Manager
Team role:
Oversees the company’s accounts & administrations team, keeping the MD up to date and ensuring these vital functions are carried out correctly and on time!
At work:
Has great relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients and enjoys the fact that there ‘is never a dull moment’.
At play:
Is a wellness coach, helping people with health, energy and weight management. Also supports her daughter’s Morris dancing team.
Martin Ward: Operations Manager
Team role:
Oversees projects, quotations, plant and equipment, staff and overall project performance on and off-site. Deals with new enquiries, (particularly on the civil engineering and building side of the business) as well as mechanically-based projects such as steel fabrications and pipe-work installations.
At work:
Enjoys the challenge of finding the most cost effective solutions for such a wide range of customers. Also enjoys ‘a bit of a laugh in our relaxed office environment – which suits my personality’!
At play:
Enjoys walking his dog and spending time with his family but often finds himself working on projects for friends and family! He has recently installed an REM Services rainwater harvesting system at his own house.
Martin Humphreys: Managing Director
Team role:
Strategic planning, staff welfare, on-site meetings with clients to discuss projects, completing tenders and quotations and ensuring REM’s Health & Safety systems are second to none..!
At work:
Enjoys the variety of projects, job satisfaction from ensuring clients are happy and finding new and innovative ways of overcoming clients’ pumping and engineering challenges. Immensely proud of the long-standing client and supplier relationships the company has established.
At play:
Loves great food, family time, family holidays and taking the family dog for long walks. An avid sportsman, Martin is a very keen golfer and has played all over the globe… He is also a long-time Lacrosse player and 2020 saw him reach a milestone in completing a staggering 50 seasons..! A prolific goal sorer, Martin has Co-Captained the England over 50’s Lacrosse team in the last 2 World Championships.
Glenn Humphreys: Engineering Manager
Team role:
Handles new enquiries relating to electrical, pumping and rain water harvesting systems. Frequently visits sites to find solutions for clients’ specific challenges. Prepares quotes and organises people, equipment, health and safety requirements for individual jobs.
At work:
Enjoys partnering with colleagues to share knowledge and experience to get jobs done ‘in the best way possible’ for clients. Also likes the wide variety of work and the relaxed atmosphere in the office.
At play:
Enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife. Plays Lacrosse for his local team (Rochdale), and for the England men’s national team. Travelled the world whilst playing Lacrosse!
